DCM Money Solutions/Apex Debt Counselling & Management Limited.
Clients of a local debt management company DCM Money Solutions in Nottingham found out over the past few days that the people that advised them with their debt problems have gone into administration.
No reason has been given for the company closing, leaving clients concerned as reported by the Nottingham Post (www.thisisnottingham.co.uk).
When a company enters administration, it is the job of the administrator to rescue the company as a going concern, by recapitalising, selling the business to new owners or demerging it into elements that can be sold and the remainder closed.
Many clients are unaware of what to do next, or of the full details of what has happened. There are some clients voicing their opinions on various forums on the internet and some have been in touch with Debt-Simple.
Clients state they are finding their creditors weren’t paid on time and they may have lost thousands of pounds. DCM Money Solutions used to save a percentage of the monthly payment to pay creditors at a later date, as a full and final settlement. So even though clients have paid for years, they are finding their debt hasn’t decreased by much, but also they don’t know how, when and if they can access the funds they had saved with DCM Money Solutions.
Clients must wait to hear from the administrators of DCM Money Solutions regarding their paperwork and any funds (which must be saved in a Clients Deposit Account, separate to the Business Account) or contact the administrators themselves.
If you require debt advice you can contact an advisor at Debt-Simple or contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
